Okay, so I hope to do a land trip to South Carolina to learn about the Gullah Nation and the Geechee culture. I started researching this in May of the year and ran into a BIG snag – Myrtle Beach. I had heard about a Gullah Museum and searched it out. Well, the proprietor died last December and her husband was not up to carrying on with the business. My Gullah contact (who lives in Mrytle Beach) was in California when I was in S.C. – BUST!. Anyway, there was nothing in Mrytle Beach that would take me back there. It, kinda, dampened my spirits about doing the Gullah trip.
HOWEVER, in my travels the last couple of months I have met people who have invigorated me to start my research again; THUS, I have great hopes of going to South Carolina probably the first week in April. Therefore, here is my

APRIL 3 – 10, 2018 – DISCOVER THE GULLAH NATION AND VISIT AFRICAN AMERICAN MUSEUM IN DC
MAY 5 – 7 TH – 2 DAY CRUISE TO VANCOUVER, CANADA FROM SAN FRANCISCO
MAY 7 – 10TH – VISIT VANCOUVER CATCH TRAIN BACK HOME (wherever that is)
MAY 17 – 24TH – FLY TO THE ISLAND OF OAHU, HAWAII
JUNE 22 – 25TH – 3 DAY CRUISE TO ATLANTIS PARADISE ISLAND CASINO IN NASSAU, BAHAMAS
JUNE 25 – 29TH – 4 DAY CRUISE TO CUBA WITH OVERNIGHT IN HAVANA
OCTOBER – 11-15TH – CATALINA JAZZ FESTIVAL
OCTOBER 28 – 4TH OF NOVEMBER – BLUES CRUISE FROM SAN DIEGO
NOVEMBER 23 – 26TH – WINE TRAIN WEEKEND – NAPA
