The weather is changing – aww too quickly for me. You should call PG&E to have them come out and check your heaters NOW. If you wait until the day you need it PG&E may take 4-5 days to get there. So, call them now so you can be prepared. While they are at your home, you might as well have them check all your gas appliances. Why not? It’s free and you would be taking a precautionary step to keep your family safe and warm. While you are at it clean out your dryer vent. Bed, Bath and Beyond have those long handle brushes that go down in the tubing area of your dryer to get the lint.
It is time to start winterizing your home. You don’t want to be stuck with a problem that could have been avoided. So, check you gutters – clean the out if needed. Check your downspouts and make sure the run off water is not dumping all that water onto your homes’ foundation. Make sure all the downspout tubing is connected and out of harms way. Call your pest control company and have them spray for bugs and check for possible rodent entry. Do you have any trees that needed to be trimmed back before the winds blow them onto your roof??? Take care of it NOW. Take care of anything and everything you can think off that you would NOT want to have to deal with it malfunctions in 47 degree rainy weather at night.
Good Luck with your homework. I’ve got mine to do, too.
Peace!
