Well, as God would have it I did NOT go to Cuba. I should be in Havana right now but I had to cancel my trip. Last Friday I got sick with my sinuses. I mean the head ache, snort’n sniffl’n, hack’n and hue’n, coughing, sneezing, running eyes and nose. The works. I would not want anyone sitting next to me on the plane if they were in my condition. It was totally NOT conducive to traveling. Plus I think I re-injured my foot. I am back in the foot brace/boot and sometimes using a cane. This is the rainy season in Cuba and it was scheduled to rain everyday we are there. So, a brace on the foot with a walking cane in the rain was going to be a mess. I BOUGHT TRAVEL INSURANCE so I only loose my premium $134.
This is the very first time I have EVER had to cancel a trip. This is truly a testimony as to WHY you need travel insurance. We never plan on having to cancel our trips. We plan and plan way in advance for our trips AND many people don’t see the value in getting travel protection insurance. They usually say, “oh, I know I’m going on this trip.” They don’t think about things happen out of their control that they might not make the trip. Think about it , my peeps. In my case I loose my premium but I get my $3100 back. I can live with that.
Signing off,
