Since May is my birth month I have coined “My May Cruise.” This year we took a 2 day cruise from San Francisco to Vancouver, Canada, spent 3 nights in Vancouver and caught the train. Nice trip and great group of ladies.
So, 2016 we are going to cruise FROM New Orleans. I am arranging a 4 night pre-cruise tour of New Orleans from
May 11- May 15th. I am gathering information of things to see and do. I am open to any suggestions anyone may have. I have never been to New Orleans so, it will all be new to me. So far I am getting info on hotels in and or near the French Quarter, tours of the cemeteries, tours of plantations, Mississippi River cruise (a day trip) and restaurants. One restaurant offers cooking lessons for Creole food. I kinda like that idea. I am a “foodie” and would not mind a few cooking lessons. Let me hear your suggestions. I am excited about this venture. This will be priced out separate from the cruise, whenever I put a plan together. So, stay tuned.
Now the cruise will leave New Orleans On May 15th. Our first port stop will be Cozumel, Mexico. I’ve been there many times and still love it. Some of the old places I used to visit on the beachfront were ruined during a hurricane and are no longer there. There are great excursions for Cozumel especially if you like diving and snorkeling. There is the Tequila Factory Tour, The Cocoa Factory Tour, Museums, even a day trip to Playa Del Carmen. Next stop will be Belize and then Roatan, Honduras, I have not been to either of these place, yet. All of the ports will have FANTASTIC beaches and great hot weather. I definitely look forward to the hot weather. I will post more about the different excursions. Oh, by the way, the cruise will be on the Carnival Dream.
Cruise prices as follows:
Inside cabins – Deck 2 – midship = $808.32 per person
Deck 7 – midship = $828.32 per person
Balcony – Deck 7 – midship = $1093.32 per person
Deck 8 – midship = $1113.32 per person
All prices are based on double occupancy and include cruise fare, taxes, fees and gratuities. Passports and insurance are not mandatory but HIGHLY recommended.
First deposit of $25 due Oct. 16, 2015, 2nd payment of $250.00 due Dec. 14, 2015 and final payment due
March 16, 2016. Whenever the full deposit of $275 is paid your cabin can be selected. My suggestion is to pay as much money toward this trip as possible BEFORE Christmas. You know we are all broke right after that.
I hope you choose to join me. I love a party with fun people.
